What Is Strange Gamble About?

Hoppy and his friends arrive in a remote border town to investigate counterfeit U.S. and Mexican money. Their only clues are the name “Mordigan” and a sketch of a comet. They discover Mordigan runs the town, but the comet’s meaning stays unclear, as do his motives for targeting a newly arrived young woman, her drunk brother and his ailing sister‑in‑law.
