In a tense, neon-lit confrontation inside a bathhouse, two crime powers collide: Virgil Vadalos, [Tom Berenger], a wealthy Greek mafia boss, and the leader of a ruthless MS-13 faction. A lone woman arrives wielding a stiletto switchblade and cuts a brutal swath through the room, killing the MS-13 leader before turning on Virgil and stabbing him, leaving him for dead. Though gravely wounded, Virgil survives and immediately compiles a plan to hunt down the mystery killer, enlisting his loyal men and a corrupt Los Angeles Police Department detective to find her. The person behind the attack is identified as his lover, Stana Katic in the role of Raina, a revelation that muddles his sense of trust and treachery alike.
Raina’s moves appear cunningly capricious, yet they are driven by a personal history that fuels her vendetta. She targets and eliminates men from various gangs, seducing them and ending their lives with cold precision. Each calculated strike throws the underworld into greater disarray, widening the gap between loyalties and exposing fragile alliances. As Virgil’s organization scrambles to respond, the dynamics among his top lieutenants intensify: Michael Biehn as Lee and William Forsythe as Alex clash with mutual suspicion, each convinced the other has a hand in the missing cash.
Complicating matters is a $2 million discrepancy that vanishes into the shadows, fueling suspicion and paranoia within Virgil’s camp. The detective figurehead, together with Hanover—the detective’s partner who becomes a casualty in the escalating drama—finds himself caught in the crossfire as Raina’s pursuit of vengeance draws closer to Virgil. Hanover’s fate comes at a brutal moment when white supremacists threaten an attempt on Raina’s life, and Hanover is fatally shot, leaving a stark reminder of the toll this war exacts on everyone involved. The consequences ripple through the precincts and alleyways alike, threatening to swallow any chance of a clean conclusion.
As Raina continues to hunt, she methodically takes down men who wronged her, reinforcing her reputation as a formidable force within the violent underworld. Her killings are not random; they are carefully chosen in a way that destabilizes the power structure and unsettles those who thought they controlled the city’s criminal landscape. With each victory, she moves closer to Virgil, the man who initiated so much pain and chaos in her life.
The narrative builds toward a inexorable convergence: Raina’s relentless vendetta pushes her forward, and the hunt for Virgil becomes inevitable. As the body count rises and loyalties fracture, the story keeps its focus on the central tension between a lover-turned-avenger and a crime lord who must confront the consequences of his own ambition. By the finale, Raina’s path is clear, and her sights are set squarely on Virgil—the original target whose decisions set this brutal cycle in motion.
