Harry Bill Pullman is a seasoned CIA agent who longs to forget his past and adopt a new cover as a jazz club owner in Helsinki, Finland, hoping the change will give him a peaceful distance from decades of covert work. Natasha Irène Jacob emerges as a young, ambitious SVR (KGB) operative trying to carve out a future for herself amid the upheavals of the evolving Russian Federation and a wobbling intelligence apparatus.
