What Is Spera Teresa About?
The premise of Spera Teresa without spoilers.
This is the story of Teresa, a young singer with a disability who dreams of making her mark in the world of traditional Italian music. Set against the backdrop of a community rebuilding after the devastating 2016 earthquake in central Italy, the film follows Teresa as she navigates personal challenges and finds unexpected support from those around her. Shot as a mockumentary and featuring entirely local actors, the film explores themes of resilience and hope in a newly constructed neighborhood built around repurposed shipping containers.
