Steve Sperg, Peter Stanovich, is a self-absorbed film student who recounts to his girlfriend Madigan Amy Shelton-White the long history of Slaughter Studios. As a child he adored the horror movies once made there, and twenty years ago the studio shut down after an actor named Justin Kirkpatric Matt Westmore was accidentally killed during a shoot. The mood of nostalgia quickly darkens into a bold plan: use the abandoned studio for one last horror project, a feature that must be shot in a single nine-hour window, with the bizarre script titled Naughty Sex Kittens vs. the Giant Praying Mantis.
