Ashok and Shiva grow up as identical twins in a comfortable middle-class home, watched over by their parents and the family’s daughter. One brother, Ashok, becomes a sharp, polished lawyer who uses wit and charm to slide past the law, while the other, Shiva, works in a fish market and embodies a rough, righteous hero who will not tolerate injustice. Shwetha is Shiva’s long-time love, contrasting with Ashok’s tendency toward casual affairs and a dangerous appetite for control.

Despite their shared upbringing, the two brothers drift apart as Ashok’s scheming life drags the family into danger and the parents misread Shiva’s insistence on justice as stubbornness. Ashok enjoys the trust of their father and his peers while Shiva’s aversion to wrongdoing isolates him from the family’s admiration, making every attempt by Shiva to reveal the truth backfire.

The trouble reaches a tipping point when Ashok lures Gayatri, Gayatri, with lies, only to entangle her in danger and, ultimately, murder when he learns she is pregnant. A security guard witnesses Ashok pushing Gayatri from a rooftop, but because the twins look identical, Shiva cannot prove who killed her. A tense cat-and-mouse game unfolds as Ashok recruits a gang to silence his brother, turning family rivalry into a battlefield.

Shiva ultimately uncovers his brother’s plot and confronts him in a brutal duel. In the chaos, Ashok is killed by one of his own men, a grim turn that leaves Shiva free but shaken. He walks away with their father Shiva and Ashok Kumar’s father, who, for the first time, accepts him as the family’s true protector.
