An Inuit hunter guides his dog sled across the frozen Arctic Ocean hunting seals, but discovers a murder. In the tight Alaskan community he knows both victim and killer. The murderer claims defence and urges his friend to forget what he saw and help conceal the body, forcing the hunter to balance loyalty, justice and the moral cost of protecting one life while destroying another.
