
In the midst of the Abilene range war, former sheriff Jim Trask returns after fighting for the Confederacy, presumed dead. He learns his old friend Dave Mosely is engaged to Trask’s former sweetheart and leads cattlemen clashing with the original farmers. Trask is urged to resume sheriff’s badge, yet Mosely’s brother’s Civil War death haunts him.
