Mike lives a quiet, predictable life in a New Jersey suburb, drifting between his mother’s house and his pizza restaurant job. Content to let life happen rather than pursue it, he finds routine in simple tasks like walking a neighbor’s dog or attending hockey games. His life takes an unexpected turn when an old friend, Mark, asks him to temporarily take over his walking tour job and apartment in Philadelphia while he travels to Poland. The change of scenery brings sunshine and new encounters, but Mike's familiar awkwardness and tendency towards inertia persist as he navigates his new surroundings.
