Shaun the Sheep: The Farmer’s Llamas 2015

On Mossy Bottom Farm, John Sparkes lends his voice to both The Farmer and Bitzer as they haul a cake to a local festival. Shaun Justin Fletcher, ever the mischief-maker, tries to swipe the cake and ends up hiding in the Farmer’s jacket. What follows is a misadventure that sets the pace for a day packed with surprises, mix-ups, and a chorus of chaos that only Shaun can spark.

At the festival, the llamas Hector, Raul, and Fernando—voiced by Sean Connolly and Chris Grimes—are briefly hypnotized by a wandering flutist. The flute player stumbles, waking the three creatures, and they explode into mischief around the cake contest. The initial wackiness gives way to even bigger trouble as the llamas are hypnotized again and dragged off to an auction, where they are sold. Thanks to Shaun, the Farmer and Bitzer accidentally end up buying the trio, setting the stage for a houseful of llamas to roam Mossy Bottom Farm.

Back at Mossy Bottom Farm, the Farmer leads the llamas to the sheep meadow, and Shaun quickly befriends them. The two factions—Shaun and the flock—gird themselves for a playful skirmish, challenging the llamas to a friendly football game. The match is lighthearted at first, a rowdy display of quirky farm teamwork that showcases Shaun’s knack for rallying the animals. Timmy the lamb finds the flute that came with the llamas and discovers a surprising talent: he can hypnotize them too. The moment is short-lived, though, as Timmy misplaces the flute and the llamas seize the opportunity to unleash a vandalous spree.

The llamas commandeer a quad bike and wreak havoc on the sheep house, even as Bitzer works to repair the damage. Tensions rise as Hector betrays Shaun, adding a layer of heartbreak to the unfolding chaos. The Farmer and Bitzer realize the llamas have moved into the house, raiding the living space and turning the home into a nocturnal playground. After a tense confrontation, the llamas confine the Farmer to a wardrobe, a moment that heightens the sense of cartoonish peril that threads through the story.

Desperate to restore order, Bitzer and Shaun hatch a plan to shepherd the llamas back into the caravan. They attempt to lure the creatures with a scheme that looks promising but ultimately fails, sending the llamas scrambling for revenge. Shaun finds himself cornered on the roof of the Farmer’s house, with the llamas pressing in. In a climactic pivot, Timmy and the flock—helped by Bitzer—bring out a chorus of empty bottles and use their rhythmic clatter to hypnotize the llamas once more, guiding them back into the caravan and restoring a fragile peace.

With the llamas recontained, the next day brings an unexpected twist at the auction: the Farmer ends up buying a rhinoceros by mistake, a decision that adds another layer of hilarity and complication to their already chaotic life. The end credits reveal a postscript of quirky misfortune: the buyer’s daughter treats the llamas poorly, their new situation is far from ideal, and the rhino’s arrival adds a new dynamic to the farm’s daily rhythm. The Farmer and Bitzer—still weary, but ever resourceful—work to repair the damage, while the flock, still full of barnyard resilience, plays with the rhino in a scene that mixes chaos with hopeful camaraderie.
