An introverted, emotionally detached woman becomes a student‑teacher at a high school, overseen by a shameless, nymphomaniac supervisor a year younger than her. On a school trip he confesses he wants to have sex with her. The story examines her reluctant willingness, the tangled power dynamics, and how ethics, morals, feelings and love surface only to be dismissed.

Lee Yu-rim, a high school English teacher, becomes drawn to Choi Hong, a student teacher who is one year older than her and who already has a boyfriend. Hong is cynical and often plays hard-to-get, making Yu-rim’s early advances feel one-sided. During a night out for drinks, Yu-rim bluntly tells Hong that she wants to have sex with her, an admission that leaves Hong unimpressed.
As they continue to interact, the pair begins to question not only what they want from each other but also what they want from themselves, especially as Hong’s boyfriend shows little interest. Hong’s past becomes a backdrop to their evolving connection, and she is revealed to carry a trauma from being framed as a stalker by a married former lover, an ordeal that led to her firing from a previous school and made her wary of love, prompting a search for stability over romance.
From the moments they share, they form a growing sense of common ground and start to understand one another more deeply. Yet the narrative is complicated by rumors spreading on the school website, which frame the traumatic episode as a matter of promiscuity on Hong’s part. Hong sues Yu-rim to protect her image and to reveal Yu-rim’s alleged inappropriate behavior, and Yu-rim is fired from her job for inappropriate conduct in the workplace involving Hong.
In the end, Hong and Yu-rim reconnect as a couple, with Hong expressing gratitude to Yu-rim for helping end the insomnia that haunted her after the traumatic events.
