The premise of Romeo Santos: King of Bachata without spoilers.

This documentary explores the story of bachata through the lens of its biggest star, Romeo Santos. Directed by Charles Todd and Devin Amar, the film combines concert footage with a journey undertaken by Dominican late-night host Joel "The Kid Mero" Martinez, who travels to the Dominican Republic to uncover the heart of the genre. The film showcases the origins of bachata in the countryside’s restaurants and bars, its rise to international fame, and a behind-the-scenes look at Santos’ creative process.
