What Is Revisor About?
The premise of Revisor without spoilers.
Inspired by Nikolai Gogol’s classic play, The Inspector General, this film blends satire and lip-synch performance to deliver a timely commentary on unchecked authority. A government employee traveling to review legal documents is mistakenly identified as a prominent official. He then finds himself showered with unwarranted attention and deference, exposing the absurdity and corruption within the local government.
