Junko Fuji reprises Oryu, the Red Peony, a lone female yakuza seeking purpose after her father's death. She rescues a frail follower from prison and finds refuge in a fishing village, promising to abandon her criminal life. When a fight over gambling rights for the town festival draws a gang of thugs and turns violent, Oryu must choose between her oath and defending the villagers.
