The film opens with a poignant and tense moment: a widowed woman gives birth to a baby boy, but a cruel landlord disapproves and orders the infant’s disposal. A drunken man finds the child and, for years, raises him with a rough sense of belonging and survival. When money runs low, the man sells the boy to a labor camp, setting in motion a decade-spanning arc of hardship and resilience that will shape the young man’s fate.

Two decades later, the boy, now known as Purusha, teams up with his loyal friend Simham to escape the brutal confines of the labor camp. They set out to uncover the truth about Purusha’s mother, who vanished long ago, hoping to reclaim a fragment of the past that still haunts him. Their quest is met with a harsh reality: the local landlord wants a bribe of ₹10,000 just to reveal any trace of Purusha’s mother, turning the search into a brutal negotiation.

In a bid to survive, the pair resort to stealing money from a house, only to be caught by J. Krishna Murthy (JK), a powerful figure whose moral compass is murky at best. Surprisingly, JK allows them to keep the stolen money, an act that complicates Purusha’s conscience and loyalty. But the timeline soon twists as the landlord, learning of Purusha’s pursuit, sells the information about the missing mother to JK for ₹50,000—a move that fuels Purusha’s anger and sense of betrayal.

Confronted by JK, Purusha learns a startling truth: JK intends to use him as a pawn in a larger scheme to crush his rival, a dangerous drug dealer. Though reluctant at first, Purusha agrees to participate, still driven by a need to understand his past and to confront the forces that shaped his life. The plan soon escalates into a clash with the rival’s men, during which Purusha is badly injured and takes a desperate leap into a river. He survives thanks to the timely intervention of Sumathi, a schoolteacher and an orphan who also happens to be the sister of Inspector Vijay. Sumathi’s rescue introduces a fragile thread of hope and a new alliance as Purusha begins to recover.

Once back on his feet, Purusha forges a meticulous plan to raid a set of critical documents that could incriminate Sailaja’s father—a powerful man connected to JK’s rival. The mission, driven by a hunger for justice and the memory of his mother, intensifies the stakes. Yet the operation takes a dark turn when Vijay is killed in the course of the confrontation, a blow that reverberates through Purusha’s resolve and fuels his pursuit of revenge.

In the lingering aftermath, the story follows Purusha as he navigates betrayal, loyalty, and the search for truth. His path weaves through danger and deception, ultimately guiding him toward the long-awaited reunion with his mother.
