Sumon, portrayed by Shakib Khan, is a carefree young man living in a village near Dhaka. His elder brother, Sujon, who runs a business in the picturesque Cox’s Bazar with his associate Usman, becomes the centerpiece of a tragic turn of events. One fateful day, Sujon is brutally murdered by Usman over a financial disagreement, and this horrifying act shatters Sumon’s family. In the aftermath of his brother’s death, Sujon’s wife, Elina Shammi, tries to claim her rightful share of the money from Usman, yet she is met with violence from his gang.

Deeply affected by the loss of his brother, Sumon embarks on a journey to Cox’s Bazar to confront Usman and reclaim his brother’s finances. During his confrontation, he is aided by Khalek, the former Upazila Chairman, played by Lutfur Rahman George, who witnesses the altercation and steps in to mediate. Khalek shows his support by welcoming Sumon into his home.

At Khalek’s residence, Sumon’s life takes an unexpected turn as he meets Iti, affectionately known as Priyotoma, played by Idhika Paul. Iti is the bright and cheerful daughter of Khalek, embodying a youthful innocence and playful spirit. Their initial clashes gradually transform into a tender romance, though they face significant challenges. The stark social divide between Iti’s privileged background and Sumon’s humble origins complicates their relationship, especially given Khalek’s disapproval of their love. The looming threat from Usman persists, adding layers of tension to Sumon’s already tumultuous life.

As Sumon navigates the complex landscape of love and justice, he finds himself embroiled in political conflicts, fighting not only for his brother’s memory but also for his burgeoning love with Iti. However, just when it seems that Sumon’s efforts might pay off, tragedy strikes again. Iti is diagnosed with a brain tumor, and her untimely death leaves an indelible scar on Sumon, irrevocably altering his existence.

Fast forward twenty years, Sumon remains in the same house in Cox’s Bazar, still grappling with the loss of Iti. He has chosen a life of solitude, cherishing the memories of his beloved Iti, speaking to her photograph as a testament to a love that profoundly reshaped his entire life. This poignant narrative serves as a reminder of love’s powerful impact and the long shadow of grief that follows.
