Four years after the series ends, Usagi and Mamoru’s wedding is threatened when resurrected Mio Kuroki declares herself queen of the Dark Kingdom. She abducts the couple and tries to force Mamoru to marry her. The revived Shitennou aid their master, but the Sailor Senshi—except Sailor Mars, who is recovering from battle injuries—receive Queen Serenity’s Moon Sword, regain their powers, and unite to defeat Mio’s youma, Sword and Shield, restoring peace for the ceremony.
