The premise of Out of Plain Sight without spoilers.
A Los Angeles Times reporter's investigation into a chilling tip uncovers a disturbing environmental secret: as many as half a million barrels of toxic waste were dumped into the ocean off the Southern California coast. Following the discovery of a corroded barrel by oceanographer David Valentine, journalist Rosanna Xia pieces together the shocking details of this post-World War II disaster, revealing the lasting consequences for the region and beyond.
