Juleson John Heard is a newly sentenced prisoner stepping into a Pennsylvania state prison, where he quickly discovers that life on the yard runs by its own rules, separate from anything the guards regulate. Morris Joe Grifasi dreams of escaping in a remarkable, if imperfect, plan and begins constructing a homemade hot-air balloon in a hopeful bid for freedom.
