Oh, Men! Oh, Women! 1957

David Niven stars as Dr. Alan Coles, a New York psychiatrist who treats Ginger Rogers as Mildred Turner. Mildred is bored and frustrated in her marriage to Arthur Turner, the movie star played by Dan Dailey. Coles himself is on the brink of marrying Myra Hagerman, portrayed by Barbara Rush, but his careful plans get tossed into chaos when a neurotic new patient named Grant Cobbler, played by Tony Randall, arrives claiming he is sleepless and heartsick over “Myra.”

Mildred’s sudden revelation—that her husband once dated Myra—pulls Coles further into a tangle of loyalties, unspoken feelings, and competing desires. The tension erupts in a sequence that begins with a confrontation when a tipsy Arthur shows up at Myra’s, embracing her, and Cobbler steps forward to declare his own devotion. A later scene finds Coles meeting the two rivals in a bar to drown their sorrows, where he urges Arthur to give Mildred the affection she yearns for. The emotional weather grows stormy as loyalties shift and the boundaries between doctor and patient blur.

On the day he and Myra are due to embark on a honeymoon cruise, Coles boards a luxury liner, uncertain whether Myra will join him. When she does appear, Cobbler is not far behind. In a final twist, Coles ejects Cobbler by tossing him down the gangplank. As the two lovers quarrel, they overlook the most important fact: the ship has sailed, leaving them to face a new, unresolved chapter.
