What Is Off Screen About?
The premise of Off Screen without spoilers.
On March 11, 2002, John R. takes the head of security and 17 others hostage in Amsterdam’s tallest skyscraper, demanding a meeting with Philips’s Sound & Vision chief Gerard Wesselinck. He claims a fraud uses widescreen TVs to brainwash consumers. The film tracks John’s growing frustrations, his strange encounter with Wesselinck, their uneasy rivalry, and his armed push for a public penance.
