The air thickens with tension as Nick appears poised to leap from the ledge, having left behind a haunting note on the desk notepad. Flashbacks reveal his harrowing past; just a month prior, he endured the brutal life of a prisoner—he was wrongfully convicted for a crime he adamantly insists he didn’t commit: the theft of a coveted $40 million Monarch diamond from David Englander, a wealthy jewelry store owner played by Ed Harris.
