What Is Of Whales, the Moon, and Men About?
The premise of Of Whales, the Moon, and Men without spoilers.
Prompted by the filmmakers, a group of young men from Ile‑aux‑Coudres—an island in the middle of the St. Lawrence River—mount a collective effort to revive beluga whale fishing, a tradition halted in 1924. Their work serves as a living tribute to their ancestors, reconnecting the community with a lost livelihood and its cultural heritage.
