Night and Dreams (1983): Cast

Nacht und Träume is Beckett’s television play. It is wordless except for a humming voice that sings the bars of Schubert’s lied “Nacht und Träume”, set to “Holde Träume, kehret wieder!”. Beckett, an admirer of Schubert, described the work as composed of five parts: evening light, dreamer (A), his dreamt self (B), a pair of hands, and closing bars.
