What Is Nazi Town, USA About?
The premise of Nazi Town, USA without spoilers.
This documentary explores the surprising history of the German American Bund, a pro-Nazi organization that flourished in the United States before World War II. In 1939, a rally at Madison Square Garden drew over 20,000 attendees, featuring patriotic imagery alongside swastikas and anti-Semitic rhetoric. The film examines the Bund's numerous chapters across the country, its alliances with groups like the Ku Klux Klan, and its summer camps that indoctrinated children with Nazi ideology. It sheds light on a concerning period of potential fascist influence in America and the enduring questions it raises.
