Noah, seventeen-year-old, moves into a luxurious new home after her mother Rafaela marries billionaire William Leister, a change that tests her sense of safety and belonging in ways she did not expect. She struggles to adjust and immediately clashes with her new stepbrother, Nick Leister, a rebellious street racer whose world is fast, flashy, and often dangerous.

On their first evening, Noah is taken to the Leisters’ country club for dinner. Dan shows up, attempting to apologize to Noah, and Nick taunts him while doing his best to stay unrecognizable. Local guys from a rival gang arrive, and Nick fends them off, underscoring the perilous environment they inhabit. A car ride later reveals that Noah learned about racing from her father, Jonás, who she says is dead. The two eventually find themselves at an arena that doubles as a fight club, where Nick is revealed as the star attraction. Noah declares she cannot stay near someone so violent, even as their bond deepens.

William later reveals to Nick that Noah’s abusive father has just been released from jail and is seeking revenge. Jonás had beaten Rafaela for years, but her testimony had put him away. Noah has not been told he is out, because Rafaela knows the knowledge would terrify her daughter.

At a party later, Noah—drunk and terrified of the dark—gets locked in a closet as a prank, triggering a brutal flashback of the night Jonás hurt her. Nick brings her home, and she asks him to stay by her side through the night to ease the nightmares.

The situation escalates when Jonás, with the help of Ronnie, kidnaps Noah and demands a ransom. Nick teams up with the police to track her down, triggering a high-stakes car chase that ends with Jonás being killed. Even though their relationship is discovered and their parents disapprove, Nick and Noah decide to stay together, facing a future that intertwines loyalty, danger, and a fragile, evolving love.
