My Little Pony: Rainbow Roadtrip 2019

Rainbow Dash, Ashleigh Ball receives an invitation to be the guest of honor at the Rainbow Festival in Hope Hollow, setting out with friends on a bright hot air balloon journey. The group soars toward the festival, but a collision with a rainbow billboard near Hope Hollow leaves both the balloon and the billboard damaged; fortunately, the ponies emerge unscathed and are gratefully hosted by Petunia Petals, Kelly Metzger, at the hotel she runs.

The next morning, Hope Hollow feels strangely colorless as the friends explore the town; the mayor, Sunny Skies, Ian Hanlin, leads them on a tour of a festival that feels hollow and half-hearted. The events are sparse, and Sunny concedes that apathy has taken hold of the town. Sunny’s grandfather once built a Rainbow Generator meant to fill the sky with color, but after Sunny became mayor, the device malfunctioned and drained all color away. Twilight Sparkle, Tara Strong, and her friends vow to help restore both color and hope to the community.

In the meantime, the Hoofingtons—bakers whose craft suffers when color is gone—struggle to tell ripe fruit from unripe fruit. Their neighbor Moody Root grows apricots, and Fluttershy, Andrea Libman, and Pinkie Pie, Andrea Libman, encourage Moody to start talking, which leads Moody to offer a portion of his crop to the Hoofingtons in exchange for some pies. Applejack, Ashleigh Ball, teams up with mechanic Torque Wrench, Rhona Rhees, to repair the billboard and bring practical help to the recovering town. Rainbow Dash, Ashleigh Ball, also takes on a mentorship role, guiding young locals Barley and Pickle Barrel in stunt flying, while Rarity, Tabitha St. Germain, collaborates with fashion designer Kerfuffle Racquel Belmonte to craft vibrant festival outfits and eye-catching accessories that rekindle the town’s pride.

As Twilight Sparkle and the others motivate the ponies, subtle bursts of color begin to reappear around Hope Hollow, signaling that hope itself is returning. Twilight investigates the deeper cause of the color loss and realizes that the problem isn’t the generator itself but the town’s fading hopeful spirit, which had quietly dulled the hues even before the device faltered. By working to revive the Festival and celebrate community life, Twilight and her friends help restore the town’s sense of purpose and shared joy.

The festival finally comes alive with the Hoofingtons’ pies, Kerfuffle’s accessories, and Rainbow Dash leading an impressive airshow that captivates the crowd. Petunia Petals watches Sunny finally propose to her partner in front of a cheering village, and the hearty goodwill of Hope Hollow reaches a new peak as color and mood return to the streets. Twilight and her friends return to Ponyville with the town’s gratitude, knowing that color and hope are stronger when a community pulls together.
