Mr Bates vs The Post Office: The Real Story (2024): Cast & Ratings

As subpostmasters across the country faced unexplained shortfalls in their accounts, the Post Office wrongly accused them of theft and initiated numerous prosecutions. Over a hundred were wrongly convicted and sent to prison, leading to ruined lives, broken marriages, and damaged reputations. The issues stemmed from errors within the Post Office’s Horizon IT system, a fact the organization initially denied. For more than two decades, former subpostmaster Alan Bates has relentlessly campaigned for justice and recognition of the harm done to those affected. This is the story of his fight.
