Katte, Shankar Nag and Prabhakar Rao, known as ‘Tatha’ Loknath, are petty thieves who can’t seem to catch a break in life. Their criminal past clings to them wherever they go, making it hard to escape a cycle of luck that never seems to favor them. To chase a bigger score, they prey on unsuspecting travelers along the National Highways, disassembling stolen vehicles and selling the parts for quick cash, often leaving victims duped and stranded as the duo slinks away with a telltale smirk.

Their grind shifts when one of their stolen vehicles breaks down and a capable mechanic, Tony D’Souza Anant Nag, is called in to help. Seeing how money flows freely in this life, Tony chooses to join the trio, bringing a sharp, practical edge to their schemes. With Tony aboard, the group expands its reach, moving from one roadside spot to the next and pulling off larger, bolder thefts that test the nerves of everyone involved, including a wary conscience that starts to surface in moments of quiet reflection.

In the mix comes another tiny thief, Manju Priya Tendulkar, who steals to pay for her sick mother’s medical bills. Her addition cements the trio’s operation and, not long after, Tony and Manju seal their own bond by marriage, deepening the ties that bind the crew together even as the net tightens around them.

The pursuit intensifies as law enforcement closes in, led by the pipe-smoking Inspector Nayak Ramesh Bhat. For a long stretch, the cops chase the trio across towns and highways, keeping the pressure high and the tension taut, while the thieves weigh the value of freedom against the risk of capture.

Behind bars, Katte and Thatha seem to have found a rough peace, yet Tony remains restless, his hunger for escape growing fiercer. A prison break is planned and carried out with startling audacity, a move that tests the loyalties and nerves of all three conspirators. The escape spirals toward tragedy: Thatha dies after an accidental fall from the towering prison walls, and Katte and Tony are cut down in an encounter as they try to flee the pursuing officers.

The film closes on Manju, who is pregnant with Tony’s child, making a solemn vow to raise the baby in a decent, safe environment despite the wreckage left behind.
