Mickey’s House of Villains 2001

On Halloween night at the House of Mouse, a parade of classic villains crashes the party, led by Jafar, voiced by Jonathan Freeman. Alongside him are Captain Hook ([Corey Burton]), Cruella De Vil ([Susanne Blakeslee]), Ursula ([Pat Carroll]), Maleficent ([Lois Nettleton]), Hades ([James Woods]), Kaa ([Jim Cummings]), and the Queen of Hearts ([Tress MacNeille]), among others. Their bold plan erupts with the musical number It’s Our House Now!, signaling a takeover that traps the heroes, princesses, and other characters inside the kitchen, while Mickey and friends are cast out into the street. The house’s name is promptly changed to the House of Villains, a bold badge of their success for the night.

Mickey Mouse, voiced by [Wayne Allwine], Donald Duck, voiced by [Tony Anselmo], and Goofy, voiced by [Bill Farmer], rally to reclaim their home, but their efforts are met with stiff resistance from Chernabog ([Corey Burton]), who blocks their entry. As the villains showcase cartoons with a darker, more ominous edge, the mood shifts from lighthearted frolic to a tense showdown between familiar friends and the encroaching menace.

Minnie Mouse, voiced by [Russi Taylor], makes a courageous push after the second-to-last cartoon, only to be knocked aside by Captain Hook’s quick strike, leaving the others more determined to persevere. The tension rises as the kitchen becomes a battleground of wit, magic, and resolve, with each side trying to tilt the balance back in their favor.

In a pivotal turn, Aladdin, voiced by [Scott Weinger], slips free from the kitchen on a magic carpet and delivers his lamp to Daisy Duck, voiced by [Tress MacNeille]. Daisy then passes the lamp to Mickey, a move that shifts the tide and buys the heroes precious moments to regroup. With the lamp in hand, Mickey dons the sorcerer’s outfit from The Sorcerer’s Apprentice and confronts Jafar in a spectacular magical duel that will decide the fate of the House.

The duel is dramatic, the sorcery intense, and as the hat is knocked from Mickey’s head, the balance of power swings toward the heroes. Aladdin’s lamp proves pivotal, and the majority of the villains are drawn into its gleaming confines, dissolving their grip on the house. The house — and its beloved community of characters — begins to return to its normal, welcoming self, the glow of triumph tempered by the lingering mischief of the night’s chaos.

With order restored, the House of Mouse gradually returns to its cheerful charm. Goofy, humorously dressed as Jafar, is declared the winner of the costume contest, prompting a playful sigh of frustration from Donald as the film wraps up. The night ends on a note of restored friendship and renewed laughter, reminding everyone that even in the darkest moments, the magic of their shared world can reassert itself.
