In the 1950s, Michael Jackson and a young woman, Ola Ray, run out of gas on a dark, wooded road. They wander into the forest, and she agrees to become his girlfriend after he warns that he is not like other guys. Under a silver full moon, Jackson grows uneasy; when he finally looks up, his face shifts and he reveals himself as a werecat, launching a sudden, brutal attack on her.

In the present day, Vincent Price provides the Narrator as the film opens, framing the story with a spooky, tongue-in-cheek mood. Jackson and his girlfriend sit in a theater watching the werecat tale, until she leaves, frightened by what she has just seen. Later, walking down a city street at night, Jackson teases her by performing the verses of Thriller. They pass a graveyard, where zombies rise from their graves and close in around them, surrounding them in the street with nowhere to run. When she glances at him for reassurance, Jackson completes his transformation: he becomes a zombie and dances with the encroaching horde. The chase leads them into an abandoned house, where she screams, waking from a nightmare to the sounds of danger still lingering.

He embraces her and takes her home, but as the door closes behind them, he turns to the camera and grins, his eyes catching the light with a sly, unsettling glow.
