In a ruthless power grab, Appalakonda murders his brother-in-law and sister to seize their wealth, and their infant Puppy escapes into the night. The tale shifts to Veerababu, a guerrilla theater magician who reveres his childhood friend Pandu. Though Veerababu holds remarkable gifts, he never uses them for personal gain, while Pandu suspects him of stinginess and keeps his money hoarded at Lakher Padmanadham.
When Puppy flees from Appalakonda during a show, Veerababu brings her home and entrusts his grandmother to care for her, sparking a warm, evolving bond with the child. A deep affection grows, and Veerababu dotes on Puppy, even as tragedy strikes when she loses her eyesight in an accident. To restore her vision, ₹50,000 is required.
Meanwhile, Sri, Padmanabham’s mischievous daughter, Sri, relentlessly teases the men, and SI Anandam becomes a scapegoat in a dine-and-dash. Chanti, Appalakonda’s impulsive son, pesters her, and she spurns his advances. Veerababu answers with a sharp, decisive blow, and the two clash.
Appalakonda calls Veerababu to account, but Padmanabham refuses to supply the money, mindful of his romance with Sri, so Veerababu takes what he believes is rightfully his. The confrontation spirals when Appalakonda murders Padmanabham, seizes the remaining wealth, and frames Veerababu.
As Puppy’s safety becomes urgent, Puppy is spotted by SI Anandam, who alerts Appalakonda. The assailants attack Veerababu’s residence, but his grandmother and Pandu manage to escape with the baby. Veerababu is later jailed for life by Appalakonda’s testimony, fueling his vow for revenge.
In a further twist, Sri accuses Veerababu of murder and attempts to seize the revolver from Anandam; her reckless misfire draws a harsh rebuke from higher authorities. Chanti then helps Pandu with a drastic ruse, transforming him into a skeleton body with a human head to dispose of threats.
Appalakonda’s men torment the grandmother and Pandu, but Veerababu uses occult powers to break out, defeats the villains, and secures the money for Puppy’s surgery. Sri overhears and alerts Appalakonda, who abducts Puppy. Yet Veerababu, aided by Chanti, recovers Puppy and returns to her side using an illusion to restore her sight.
In the climactic showdown, Veerababu uses his mystical skills to pin Appalakonda and compels him to confess in court, while Sri expresses remorse. The film ends on a joyful note as Veerababu resumes the roadshow with his family, bringing everyone back together.
