There, they scrape together money by volunteering for drug-testing at a clinic, a detour that includes a late-night encounter with three Polish women. The night marks a shift in tone as the trio navigates risk and desire, with Scud notably excluded from certain encounters due to erectile issues.

With Cerberus finally in hand, they return to Clonmel for a high-stakes run. The dog wins several races, again drawing the bookmaker back into the fold and threatening their precarious balance. The travellers—still lurking in the background—reappear, threatening to upend everything by holding the three over a cliff. In a tense negotiation, Mo Chara proposes a deal: if Cerberus wins, the men keep the dog and pay back the bets plus half the prize money; if Cerberus loses, they would owe the travellers what they deem to be £50,000. The dog’s name is central to the plan, and the men cannot win the prize directly because the dog’s ownership sits with them rather than the travellers.

In a nerve-wracking climax, Cerberus delivers the win. The travellers collect their money, and the trio finally secures their own take.
