What Is Malek About?
The premise of Malek without spoilers.
Malek, a Lebanese immigrant living in Montreal, is deeply affected by the violent death of his sister and struggles with overwhelming guilt, believing he could have prevented the tragedy. Isolated and jobless, his life takes a turn when he meets Shohreh, an Iranian girl. Their connection leads to a new beginning, providing him with work and a chance to rebuild his life and reclaim his dignity. However, the painful memories of the past eventually resurface, forcing him to confront his demons and seek closure.
