Frank Norris, his wife Mrs. Norris, and their daughter Vena Norris arrive at a dilapidated carnival, where they are hired as employees. They are shown around the amusement park by Mr. Blood, a manager who is unaware that the Norrises are covertly trying to locate their missing son, Johnny, who once worked there. The Norrises settle into the carnival in their RV, hoping to uncover clues about Johnny while keeping a low profile in a place that feels run-down and hollow. That night, terror erupts: one employee is decapitated while riding the shut-down rollercoaster, and another witness to the grisly act is suddenly attacked by the carnival’s janitor, Sticker, who drives a sharp implement through his head.
