Loving Leah 2009

Jake Lever Adam Kaufman is a successful cardiologist living in the upscale Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C. Meanwhile, Jake’s professional world keeps him busy at the hospital, and his girlfriend Carol [Christy Pusz] has little patience for the unconventional terms of this new partnership. Leah, for her part, starts to explore a more liberal stance within her faith while adapting to life in a bustling, unfamiliar city. As they navigate these changes, Jake finds himself drawn back to his Jewish roots, rekindling a sense of heritage and belonging that had been buried beneath the demands of his career.

In time, their relationship deepens into something more authentic and resilient than a conventional romance. They discover that the greatest gift Benjamin left behind was the possibility of a shared future built on trust, respect, and a deep bond between two people who choose love and commitment on their own terms.
