Jayne Houdyshell (born September 25, 1953 in Topeka, Kansas) is a celebrated American actress renowned for her versatility across theatre, film, and television. Raised as the youngest of four daughters, she honed her craft at the Academy of Dramatic Art at Oakland University, graduating with honors in 1974 before embarking on a prolific stage career that would span more than five decades.
