Lu Qinyang and Ling Yiyao first embark on their romantic journey while they are still in school, starting off with a heartfelt confession letter. After completing their high school education, Lu Qinyang moves to Zhoushan for work, while Ling Yiyao pursues her studies further in Nanjing. Their blooming relationship encounters obstacles, particularly from Ling Yiyao’s mother, who disapproves of their love. Despite her resistance, Lu Qinyang and Ling Yiyao remain resolute in their decision to stay together.

They both decide to reunite at Jiayuguan railway station, where Lu Qinyang had intended to propose. Tragically, a fierce blizzard traps him, hindering his plans. Meanwhile, Ling Yiyao waits in anticipation at the station, unaware of the impending tragedy. Ultimately, Lu Qinyang is discovered frozen in Xinjiang by his coworkers, still holding onto the phone he had planned to use to declare his love for Ling Yiyao, with a single tear frozen at the corner of his eye, symbolizing the depth of his emotions.
