What Is Love and Revenge… With a Meat Cleaver About?
The premise of Love and Revenge… With a Meat Cleaver without spoilers.
The director’s final film, completed before his early death from chronic liver disease, is a ghoulish horror comedy that delivers a simple moral: kill your wife with a bowl of porridge, bury her shallowly to start a new life with a mistress, and expect her angry, vengeful return. Released theatrically, it later became a modest home‑video hit, as with Shabl’s earlier features.
