
Set in Stalin’s Soviet Union shortly after World War II, the political drama follows British archaeologist Andrei Miller, who is conducting work in Iran when the KGB mistakenly kidnaps and arrests him. Wrongly charged with espionage, he is sentenced to a Siberian Gulag prison camp in the bleak, frozen Siberian wilderness.
