Five friends—two couples, Emily and Darren, Sarah and Mike—and a single woman, Ashley—set out on a vacation in China, eager for new experiences and shared adventures. Their journey takes an unexpected turn when they cross paths with a Japanese police officer, Miles, who is secretly a spy for the mafia, in a bar run by the same criminal organization. The encounter is tense and uneasy, both for the travelers and for the man they think of as a protector, as the bar’s atmosphere churns with danger and smoldering slips of fate.

By a cruel twist of luck, the group discovers the mafia boss, and a careless spill of beer on him triggers a strange mix of remorse and menace. As they depart the bar, they veer into a porn cinema that doubles as the mafia’s main hideout, where they inadvertently buy private rooms that turn out to be traps, selling them as cannon fodder rather than guests.

Inside one room, Emily and the movie theater owner accompany Sarah and Mike to a chamber whose walls are smeared in red, a chilling scene that ends with the owner locking them inside with no escape. In another corner of this grim place, Ashley tries to reach the theater’s bathroom, only to be drawn into a troubling moment when Darren is present; their later union underscores a disturbing undercurrent in the night’s events. Meanwhile, the same tangled web of jealousy surfaces as Emily uncovers Darren’s infidelity, a revelation that sparks pain, physical strain, and a cascade of departures.

As the mafia boss arrives at the cinema and prepares for a brutal reckoning, he captures Ashley and seals Emily away. The executioner arrives too, breaking through to the room where Emily hides, while the room’s atmosphere grows heavier with dread. The executioner beheads Mike and binds Emily, and mafia workers restrain Ashley with a rope as her fate tightens.

Worry for Emily drives Miles to try to force his way into the theater, but a narrow path—back doors and fast moves—becomes the key to survival. Darren manages a daring escape through the back entrance, enabling Miles to slip inside and begin the perilous rescue of everyone else.

Inside the labyrinthine theater, Darren and Miles first confront the cook, who is busy preparing a grotesque scene around Mike’s severed remains, then turn their attention toward the mafia boss. In a tense confrontation, the boss kills the old man who had tried to help Emily by trading a gun for his own safety, but the executioner later discovers the boss’s weakness and moves to end him. Miles presses onward, taking on the mafia crew as the fight intensifies across the theater.

In the end, after a brutal struggle with blood and fear, Miles is killed by the theater owner just before he can lead the group to safety. Only Emily and Darren survive the night, managing to contact the police and step back into the world with a warning about the horrors they witnessed, haunted by what happened but bound to tell the tale.
