Life Is Beautiful (2022): Cast, Box Office, Plot & Where to Watch

In 1939, in the shadow of fascist Italy, a quick-witted young Jewish-Italian waiter named Guido Orefice arrives in Arezzo to work alongside his uncle Eliseo at a family-owned hotel restaurant. From the moment he steps into the town, Guido’s humor, warmth, and sharp charm distinguish him from the locals, and he quickly captures the attention of the gentile Dora, a woman with her own steady sense of purpose. Dora is educated, kind, and poised, and she works as a teacher while engaged to Rodolfo, a wealthy local government official whose arrogance and stingy pride clash repeatedly with Guido’s more improvisational, playful nature. To win Dora’s heart, Guido stages a series of seemingly chance happenings—tiny, clever coincidences that feel like miracles to a hopeful admirer.
