Lenny Bruce in ‘Lenny Bruce’ (1967): Cast

Iconoclast Lenny Bruce delivers his penultimate live performance at San Francisco’s Basin Street West, reading allegations and transcripts from one of his many obscenity trials and commenting on his own alleged statements. The show features brief sketches—including a prison riot with Dutch, the Warden, Father Flotski, and Dr. Sabu—but serves mainly as a sharp social commentary on government intrusion and censorship rather than a pure comedy routine.
