Legion of Fire: Killer Ants (1998): Cast & Plot

Dr. Jim Conrad Eric Lutes is visiting the small town of Burly Pines, Alaska, with a simple aim: to fish and escape the bustle of everyday life. Set against a rugged, wintry backdrop, his trip begins with a quiet day on the water shared with a friend, when they stumble upon something grisly and puzzling—a moose stripped clean of meat. The scene instantly shrouds the excursion in a sense of unease. They assume the carcass was left for scavengers by hunters, until the arriving hunters themselves insist they shot the animal only a couple of hours earlier and had been tracking it all along. The eerie coincidence is quickly followed by another troubling discovery: a shopkeeper found dead in his own home, similarly picked clean.
