In Thiruvananthapuram, Prakash Menon is a successful architect whose firm’s Kochi branch has been underperforming. To turn things around, the company relocates him to Kochi with the plan to replace Anu Pillai, a move she resists because she doesn’t want to leave Kochi. Prakash travels to Kochi, assesses the office atmosphere, and decides to meet Anu in person to discuss the relocation.

Anu Pillai lives with her eight-year-old daughter, Chikkumol, a spirited child who makes finding a caretaker a real challenge. Prakash, after spotting her in a shopping mall, falls in love. He learns from his friend, Mukundan, that Anu is seeking help as a caregiver. He goes to her home and takes on the job under the name Vasudevan, with the quiet aim of winning her heart.

What follows are lighthearted, heartfelt moments as Prakash balances caring for the girl, cooking for the family, and hiding his true identity from his office colleagues. The comedy of errors and tender glances build a gently comic romance, marked by small wins and awkward missteps.

As the story unfolds, Anu visits Prakash’s house to ask him not to continue in Kochi, and, upon seeing him, realizes that he had been disguising himself. Yet Prakash resigns from his Kochi post and appears to have returned to Thiruvananthapuram. Anu begins to understand his affection and feels a wistful sorrow, but when she returns home, she discovers that Prakash has come back as Vasudevan. The film closes on a warm, hopeful note, with love finding its way despite the initial pretenses.
