Jessy Varghese Anna Ben is the eldest daughter in a modest farming family from Poovaranmala, a quiet corner of Wayanad. The lowermiddle-class household ekes out a living from the land while Jessy’s mother, Mary Nisha Sarangh, stitches at home to help the family make ends meet. Having left her studies, Jessy helps with chores and embroidery, and a gentle, unspoken fondness grows with Benny Sudhi Koppa, who runs a textile shop and quietly admires her.

One ordinary day, a routine call about blouse measurements turns magical and complicated when Jessy dials a wrong number and speaks to Vishnu Roshan Mathew, an auto rickshaw driver from Kozhikode. What begins as a distant flirtation soon becomes a steady, heartfelt connection carried through daily conversations, even though they have never laid eyes on each other. Vishnu is portrayed as a helpful, grounded man who often assists families in need, including a mother who requires hospital visits.

Their bond grows against a backdrop of everyday life in the countryside and the city, as they share dreams, fears, and small moments of joy. They schedule a meeting at Jessy’s church festival, but Vishnu must tend to his ailing mother and cannot join. Still, their conversations endure, and a quiet hope seeds the possibility of a future together. Meanwhile, Benny—whose proposal had already entered Jessy’s thoughts—faces resistance from his mother, who disapproves of the match and of the life Jessy’s family leads. The Priest Sudheesh even weighs in, encouraging Benny to pursue his own wishes despite the opposition. The tension between duty, expectation, and affection deepens as Jessy contemplates a life that might mean leaving behind the world she knows.

When Benny’s marriage proposal is formally set, Jessy confides in Vishnu, who warns that life is hard and suggests that she might be better off with Benny. Undeterred, the two plan to meet, and Jessy decides to visit Kozhikode alone to seek out Vishnu. She dials into hope while stepping into a city that holds both danger and possibility. But the moment she arrives, a simple misfortune shifts the balance: Vishnu loses his phone during a confrontation, and a passerby steals it. Roy Sreenath Bhasi intervenes, retrieves the phone from the thief, and unexpectedly becomes the one who meets Jessy—leading her to mistake him for Vishnu because they have not yet met in person.

The truth comes into focus as Vishnu locates her again, and the two venture through the unfamiliar city together. A mounting sense of pursuit emerges when Roy’s presence seems to shadow them, and a tense confrontation in a park tests their trust. They retreat to a lodge to sort out money worries and unexpected demands from a lodge owner who knows Vishnu. The owner’s questions—about travel plans and the sharing of photos—reveal the fragility of Vishnu’s precarious situation, hinting at debts and dangerous entanglements that threaten Jessy.

As the pursuit tightens, Roy resumes his role as watcher and protector. A fight ensues, and Roy manages to subdue Vishnu and rescue Jessy, while police move in to arrest Vishnu’s accomplices at his home. The immediate danger abates, but the emotional wounds linger. With the ordeal behind her, Jessy finds slender hints of healing and clarity through the support of Roy and others who care for her, even as she processes what has happened and what her future might hold.

In the final moments, Jessy seeks a quiet anchor for her sorrow. Roy helps her find a small measure of solace by the sea, where she gazes out and allows the waves to carry away some of the ache. The film closes with a gentle, ceremonial note: she visits a small Mother Mary chapel near her home and lights a candle, offering a moment of prayer and reflection for the path that lies ahead.
