Sherly is an orphan who is supported by an old man. When he passes away, his son Roy Varghese [Mammootty], a wealthy businessman, quietly continues the sponsorship, though Sherly remains unaware of the true connection. She travels to a city college where she meets Mercy, Roy’s niece, who is also her classmate, and she crosses paths with Roy without realizing he is the generous benefactor behind her education and opportunities.

Alex [Lalu Alex], Roy’s brother, introduces his own brother, Baby [Rahman], to Roy, and on Roy’s advice, Baby begins working at Roy’s firm. The arrangement starts off as a professional step, but it soon stirs romance when Baby and Sherly cross paths at Mercy’s birthday party. Baby falls hard for Sherly, yet she finds herself drawn to Roy, even as she remains unaware of their parallel connection.

As the romance between Sherly and Roy deepens, Sherly senses that Roy harbors feelings for her but keeps them hidden due to the age difference between them. Meanwhile, Baby, trying to pull Sherly away from Roy, fabricates a story that Roy and Dr. Elsie George [Seema] were in love for a long time and could not marry because of Roy’s father. Sherly, hurt and confused, grows desperate and lashes out.

In a moment of anger, Sherly lies to Dr. Elsie, claiming she is pregnant with Roy’s baby. Shocked, Elsie goes to Roy’s office to confront him, but he denies any involvement, insisting it was not his doing. This confrontation unsettles Sherly, who then confronts Roy in his office, admitting that her earlier claims were a ruse to test his commitment and to prove her love. She reveals that she cannot live without him, and Roy must face the consequences of her feelings.

The Mother Superior [Kaviyoor Ponnamma] informs Roy that Sherly is set to depart for Italy to study music, and that she might become a nun out of gratitude toward the convent and her sponsor. On her advice, Sherly decides to embrace the monastic path, even though the choice leaves her with a heavy heart and a sense of indebtedness toward those who have supported her.

In the farewell moment, Sherly meets Roy to tell him she is leaving and that she cannot continue their romance. She also meets Baby and confesses everything, including her status as an orphan and her plan to become a nun. Baby, despite his love for her, accepts that she has chosen someone else, and she explains that her decision to become a nun was driven by his refusal to accept her proposal—revealing that the person she loves is Roy.

Hearing this, Baby storms into Roy’s office and lashes out in anger. Then comes a turning point: Sherly’s true sponsor—her unwavering benefactor—becomes the central question she longs to resolve. The Mother Superior informs Roy of Sherly’s wish to meet her sponsor before she leaves for Italy, but Roy initially refuses. A letter from Sherly is handed to him, and, with the letter in hand, he remains in the corridor of the orphanage, where Sherly finally finds him waiting. In that pivotal moment, the revelation is made, and the two share a final, fated meeting as she rushes down the corridor toward him, her unknown sponsor, Roy [Mammootty], standing there to greet her.
