Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger vs. Space Sheriff Gavan: The Movie 2012

After sending Gai Ikari to buy dinner for them, the remaining Gokaigers are suddenly confronted by Retsu Ichijouji, Kenji Ohba, who escorts them to his superior, Space Police Chief Weeval. Weeval is revealed as Ashurada, a member of the Zangyack Empire and a descendant of Don Horror.

Ichijouji is captured by the figure and his robotic enforcer and taken to the pocket dimension of Makuu Space. The Gokaigers regroup, while a tense stand-off unfolds between the old guard and the new power in space.

While regrouping, Captain Marvelous, Ryota Ozawa, reveals that Ichijouji saved and inspired him as a child and vows to return the favor to his crewmates. This confession deepens the bond among the crew and gives them a personal motive to push forward against the mounting threat.

Ashurada meets with his leader Akudos Gill to lay out a plan that uses his Don Horror connection to torment Ichijouji and to expand Makuu Space, threatening Earth with a looming, inescapable presence. The pirates receive a call from Basco ta Jolokia, who reveals that Gavan is imprisoned on the top floor of the Makuu Prison, adding a new objective to their mission.

The Gokaigers later encounter past Super Sentai warriors and acquaintances of Ichijouji, Daigoro Oume and Shiro Akebono, who reveal that the crew can access the Denzimen and Battle Fever team powers to reach Makuu Space. The breakout plan begins as the pirates breach the prison, causing a chaotic escape and drawing Zangyack forces toward the scene. Ikari and Joe Gibken stay behind to fend off the pursuit, while the others rush to the top floor to continue their ascent. Jolokia, ever the opportunist, tries to seize the Rangers’ Keys during the Gokaigers’ absence but is foiled by the Go-Busters.

Gavan Bootleg dispatches the Gokaigers to different dimensions to slow their progress, creating a string of trials that test their teamwork and resolve. Eventually, Marvelous reaches the top floor and frees Ichijouji while contending with the rogue enforcer. The crew blasts their way back to the ground level, destroys the prison, and returns to Earth, where they confront Ashurada, the rogue enforcer, and a Zangyack platoon.

Working together, they eliminate the rogue enforcer and the platoon, but Ashurada enlarges himself, forcing the Gokaigers and Ichijouji to summon their mecha to weaken him before Marvelous and Ichijouji land the final blows. In the aftermath, there is a touching moment as they bid each other farewell and are reunited with Oume and Akebono, bringing a sense of closure and renewed purpose to the bonds forged in battle.
