Kai Doh Maru 2001
During Kyo's civil war, factions vie with hereditary rulers. After her uncle murders her parents, Kintoki escapes to the mountains, is renamed Kai Doh Maru, and rescued by Raibo, captain of the Four Knights. Raised as a boy, she learns martial arts, becomes a samurai, and at seventeen falls for Raibo, sparking jealousy from a woman tied to her past.
