Bertrand Tavernier returns with an eight‑part, 55‑minute series expanding his César‑nominated “My Journey Through French Cinema.” The acclaimed director of Coup de Torchon and ’Round Midnight guides viewers through key and overlooked French filmmakers—René Clément, Henri‑Georges Clouzot, Julien Duvivier, Claude Autant‑Lara—and examines how the German occupation, the New Wave, and forgotten female auteurs and pioneering composers shaped French cinema.
